About the Opportunity
Due to continued growth and major investment in their Product Development platforms, our client is looking for a Senior Engineer who can hit the ground running with some critical projects.
What you’ll do
- Contribute to our client’s React Native mobile application
- Write scalable, maintainable, and well-tested TypeScript code
- Develop and maintain backend services using AWS Lambda and DynamoDB
- Support integrations with AWS IoT Core for real-time shade control
- Drive and implement front and backend updates driven by firmware requirements.
- Assist with bug fixes, performance tuning, and deployment improvements
- Update and improve documentation
- Collaborate with engineers, QA, and product leads in agile development cycles
- Participate in standups, sprint planning, and code reviews
Tech Stack
- Mobile: React Native, TypeScript
- Backend: Node.js, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch
- IoT: AWS IoT Core (MQTT), custom smart hub firmware
- Integrations: Amazon Alexa, Google Home, Apple HomeKit
- DevOps/Tools: GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, TestFlight
We’re looking for a switch-on and autonomous Senior Engineer who can drive new initiatives.
Please note: this role will be full-time in the NW Melbourne office for the first 2-3 weeks then revert to 2 days in office (suits someone in West/North suburbs).
