Lead Software Engineer – React/Node/TypeScript 

We’re seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive the design, development, and delivery of advanced digital capabilities across customer platforms in the energy and utilities sector. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping technology solutions that improve customer experience, operational performance, and scalability.

In this role, you will guide software analysis, architecture, and development activities while championing engineering excellence and Agile practices. You’ll establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines, ensure best practices in quality assurance and test automation, and lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact features.

As a hands-on technical leader, you’ll mentor developers, influence architectural decisions, and foster a high-performing engineering culture. Your expertise in React/Node/TypeScript, APIs, event-driven systems, databases, and cloud deployment (AWS) will enable you to deliver secure, scalable, and customer-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable enterprise applications and APIs
  • Architect and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless delivery
  • Drive Agile ceremonies, ensuring alignment and delivery against objectives
  • Guide QA practices, test automation, and test data management
  • Mentor developers and build a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize complex requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience with React/Node/TypeScript, and modern frameworks
  • Proven ability to deliver Restful/GraphQL APIs and automated testing
  • Strong knowledge of event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS)
  • Expertise in database architecture and scaling solutions
  • Proficiency in AWS deployments, CI/CD, and Git-based collaboration
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Experience in large-scale transformation programs (energy sector experience desirable)
